At the heart of the new Bimota DB7 is the 1098 Ducati Testastretta engine Evoluzione. The DB7 introduces a new hybrid of oval tube trellis framework that uses plates machining light in their design. The same solution is used in engineering the only rear swingarm.
The innovative rear suspension arm swing links directly to the engine and uses an advanced Extreme Tech rear shock developed in cooperation with Bimota. The fully adjustable shock attaches to the SPB (Bimota progressive system), the linkage of the system, for maximum control and traction in the corners. The rear suspension is offset to the right, leaving space to the rear of the cylinder exhaust.
Higher and lower fork crowns billet machining and assembly are fully adjustable fork with 43 mm Marzocchi Corse sliding with DLC (as coating diamond) for treating mild and predictable reaction to the runway.
The forged alloy wheels are built specifically for the design and Bimota are some of the lightest torsionally rigid place in the world.

The powerful front brakes dual discs of 320 mm and radially mounted Brembo four pad four piston gauges. In the rear disk floating 230mm matches to a 2-piston Brembo calliper.
The upper part is made of carbon fibre fairing and structural supports instruments and lighthouse, eliminating the need for a false chassis. The later section of the tail also makes structural carbon fibre and also benefits from the elimination of a false chassis. Combined that significantly reduce the total weight of the bike.
The instrument panel digital readings combines analog and digital. The unit of 20 records lap times, and the maximum speed of each round.
The narrow fuel tank with a capacity of 16 litres, has been sculpted to be very thin between his legs and the seat corresponds perfectly to maximize rider control and comfort.
With a single 800mm seat height, riders of all sizes can enjoy the performance of the DB7.
Combine all of the innovations and DB7 you have a bike that weighs in class a leader incredible 170 kgs.
